Yuva Sansad is the flagship event of the India Policy Forum. It is a youth parliament and policy deliberation platform, conceived as a structured and rigorous simulation of India’s parliamentary and governance process. The platform is designed to move beyond performative debate, focusing instead on substantive policy engagement, institutional realism, and solution-oriented deliberation. Through simulated legislative, deliberative, and executive forums, Yuva Sansad enables participants to engage critically with contemporary public policy challenges and constitutional frameworks. The initiative emphasises research depth, procedural discipline, and consensus-building, mirroring the functioning of real democratic institutions. Building on the success of its inaugural edition, Yuva Sansad 2026 aims to foster policy literacy, leadership, and civic responsibility among students, while offering a credible platform for informed youth participation in India’s democratic discourse. The inaugural edition of Yuva Sansad was an intra-college competition with over 100 participants across four committees. The event was graced by the presence of Smt. Smriti Irani, Former Union Minister, and Shri Kartikeya Sharma, Member of Parliament. In its second edition, Yuva Sansad 2026 aspires to scale both its intellectual ambition and institutional reach, strengthening its role as a nationally relevant forum where informed student voices contribute meaningfully to the discourse on governance, policy, and democratic practice in India.
